Today is the birthday of one of history's greatest wits, Mr. Oscar Wilde. Today we bring you a musical version of his poem "The Serenade" that can be found in the 2002 film version of The Importance of Being Earnest. This adaptation of the play is quite good and stars Colin Firth and Rupert Everett. Here are Colin and Rupert performing "The Serenade" from the film. Unfortunately, no one has been kind enough to post the clip on youtube, however I have found this slide show of stills from the film which uses the song.
